Climate Change Adaption - Soil Health Programme

With the changing climate, the productivity is influenced as well as the farmer well-being.  The ultimate challenges with the fast changes in the climate on agriculture are on water and soils.  With increased usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the residuals in the soils are long lasting and badly affecting the productivity. It is important to prepare the farming community to be ready to adapt the changes in climate.

With this background, RASS has initiated a project, covering two watershed areas, to improve adaptation to climate variability in farm sector with better management and maintenance of soil and water regime enabling better crop productivity and resultant increase in income.
