CRECHE CUM NUTRITION CENTRES

Started in the year 1982 with 6 centres initially, the project is ensuring the rights of children, of age group of 0-6 years, of most marginalized community using rights based approach to development emphasizing on participation, empowerment and non-discrimination while addressing vulnerability, marginalization and exclusion. The project is now being run in 180 centres in Chittoor and Kadapa Districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The project is aimed at

Running Day Care Centre for Kids
Imparting Pre-School Education
Providing Supplementary Nutrition
Providing Medical assistance and free medicines.
Providing play material for physical and mental development.
Covering immunization with the assistance of Government Primary Health Centers

To better manage the functioning of centers, each crèche centre is equipped with a 5-member Project Monitoring Committee constituted with Local Government School Teacher/Head Master, Local Sarpanch/Corporator, One beneficiary Children’s Mother, Centre’s Teacher/Worker.
